I have actually helped cook Rocky Mountain oysters for an event. I don’t think I’ll be clamoring to attend this even; not that it’s a possibility since I’m in Ohio.

One of my sisters and her husband used to go to the Testicle Festival they held in Missoula every year, but they shut that one down. It started to get way out of control.

I had them a couple times in Denver, they weren't  bad. Don't really get it though other than the shock value, seems like the kinda thing that you try once just to say you did.

I had them at a dinner hosted by my in-laws family. The guys got together and had a meal where the only store bought items allowed were bread/crackers and beer.

Since my father in laws dad was credited with starting the event I became his assistant chef. I helped him cook a 5 gallon bucket worth of “oysters” in a healthy dose of lard.

Never had the oysters, but I have had “turkey fries”. Same thing, different critter. They weren’t bad. They weren’t good enough to have again , but they weren’t bad.
